HONEYMOON! CAN I GET A WHAT WHAT!!

We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon. We loved every minute of it, we left from San Diego airport on sunday at 2:30 and arrived at Honolulu airport at about 5pm while we were there we visited the Polonesian Cultural Center, the Pinapple plantation, Northshore, Haimama bay and went on a sunset dinner cruise. We are already planning out next trip to the beautiful island. We made friends with some of the locals. lol.

Wedding

The planning of the wedding was deffinatly crazy and there was way more to planning a wedding than I ever thought. There were so many details and every little thing had to be thought of. I would have to say that in my opinion everything was perfect. I loved everything about that day.

We had to set up for the reception on friday at 10pm because the spanish branch had a valentines party. We had some help which we are very thankful for. the reception was absolutly beautifully decorated with roses and chocolate.

i swear i didn't sleep at all that night. i had a hair appointment at 6:30am and had to be in the temple at 9. We were late because of me. Tauren was going crazy because of nerves and he hates to be late to anything. I was just excited and it seemed very surreal. we got married at about 10:30 and it was beautiful I loved the special bridal room and all of the attendence that helped me. It was amazing seeing tauren in the celestial room. I loved him so much! then we got out and took pictures for hours. I loved it but others got bored fast. Then we ate at El Torrito. It was so good. Then tauren and I checked into our hotel. WINK WINK! The reception came next which was so fun.

The day was absolutly perfect i would not have changed a thing!

Engagment

So we had been dating for a few months and always felt something special. Being with eachother had been the most exciting times of our lives. We knew that we were soulmates. We had talked about marriage and finally it began to feel that it was something that needed to happen.

Finally, Tauren got the nerve to talk to my Dad about marrying me. The talk went really good and I felt closer to her family as a result. Then, the next step was actually proposing and giving me the ring.

With the help of a few friends, Tauren hatched a plot to propose to me at Disneyland. Tauren purchased the ring and was ready to go. However, that day didn't feel right. There was too many things that didn't make the proposal the way he wanted it to be. So he gave up on the idea and decided to do it another day. He knew that he had to do it soon or he would be miserable.

Finally, he ended up taking me to La Jolla Shores. The plan was to do it at sunset. Everything was working out perfectly. We ate dinner and he pulled right up to a parking spot. The sun was just above the water and a line was gleaming across. We started to walk down the beach. We weren't saying much but just were awed by the beauty of the sunset in the distance. He was thinking about proposing but there were several distractions. A few surfers, a guy taking pictures of his children, and other people walking down the beach. We walked passed the pier and He started to watch the sun slowly sink under the horizon. It was perfect. Finally, we stumbled into this perfect location with a few cliffs.

We stopped there and kissed. The sun was down but the soft glow was still on the horizon. The moon was out and it was in a crescent shape. A few stars had began to show. The tide was inching its way up to our location and he had started to think, "I gotta do this now." He was so nervous.Then, he got down on one knee and gave a short speech about his love for me. He pulled out the ring and asked me if I would marry him. I said yes and he put the ring on my finger.

We were so happy to call eachother fiancee!

Some Background

Tauren and i met in the end of may and a church function and became friends. We hung out a couple of times. He realized that we had the same drive to poway for church functions and that we would save if we carpooled. Those rides to poway was when we really learned alot about eachother and how tauren realized he wanted to date me. Our first date Was june 7th and we went to eat at buca de beppo and then saw Knocked Up. lol...nice first date movie huh? Well we dated about 2 months before we got engaged. We saw eachother everyday since we met and have loved every minute.
